A personal message from Sharon Savageaux...

On September 11th, the nursing home sing-a-long team, lead by Paulette Craft, went to Alto (formerly Stuart Lodge) to sing with the residents. My brother, Bruce, is a resident there and he told me how great the team did. In addition to the wonderful music, he said the singers really connected with the residents, adding even more enjoyment to the whole experience. His day was brightened because of it.

Paulette and her team have been bringing joy to nursing home and assisted living residents for years stopped only by the pandemic. Sometimes she has 5 singers and sometimes she has more. But each time she and her team put their heart into it.

Thank you, Paulette and team, for bringing light into the community and for highlighting the community in the Treasure Coast Community Singers!

Promote Your Business With Us

Treasure Coast Community Singers is beginning its drive for ads for the Seasonal Program Book. Each year, this book provides advertising for local businesses and is a major funding source for TCCS. Purchasing an ad in the book provides means for us to perform and enables TCCS to provide the stipend and scholarship programs. The program book is distributed at all concerts and community events providing exposure to over 4,000 people for our advertisers.

Supporting Local Scholars

Treasure Coast Community Singers’ Scholarship Program supports graduating high school students in their college studies of music or music education. Each year TCCS awards multiple $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors. Seniors who have participated in the TCCS Stipend Program are given priority. Through private donations and one dollar from each concert ticket sold, the TCCS scholarship fund has awarded over $40,000 to graduating students attending schools in Martin and St. Lucie Counties. The more tickets we sell and the more donations we receive, the more scholarships can be awarded. The hope is that these recipients will make musical contributions to their communities in years to come.

Know A Student Who Loves To Sing?

Did you know that Treasure Coast Community Singers has a High School Stipend Program that offers talented high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to rehearse and perform in concerts with TCCS and in return they receive a stipend. Interested students apply for the program and are selected by the Director. On average four to eight students participate in this program per concert session. The stipend student program’s goal is to bring choral singing experience to Martin and Port St. Lucie high school programs that will foster lifelong singing in their communities.

We are proud to say that two of our students are performing in local music events. Kate Zoetmulder, a student from Jensen Beach High School, is performing in “The Phantom of the Opera” February 27-March 2 at Jensen Beach High School Performing Arts Center.

Mallory Goddard, a student from Martin County High School and member of OPUS, is having a solo performance featuring works from Mozart, Faure, Shubert and more at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City, FL on March 6 at 5:30pm.
