The TCCS Scholarship Team is pleased to announce it is awarding $1,000 scholarships to five outstanding high school seniors this year. All five students have excelled academically and all five have been praised for their talents, work ethic, leadership and extra-curricular participation.
Katherine Zoetmulder, a senior at Jensen Beach High School, has been a Stipend Student with the TCCS Chamber and Community Choruses for 2 years. She has participated in her high school’s drama and musical productions, and she is the President of the Jensen Beach Drama Club. Kate plans to become a pilot.
Lucas Schwerdtfeger, also a Jensen Beach High School senior, is a trained oboe player. He has participated in his school’s marching, symphonic and concert bands. He is a Martin Arts nominee and Dr. John Enyart awardee. Lucas aspires to a career in aerospace engineering.
Samuel McCulley, a senior at Clark Advanced Learning Center, is a bass and percussion player who has participated in his school’s symphonic and marching bands. He is a thespian and trained tenor who has appeared in over 40 productions at high school and at The Barn, the Lyric, and StarStruck Theaters. Samuel plans a career in musical theatre.
Mara Bryan is a senior at South Fork High School. Mara is a member of the Carillon Choir, Tri-Music Honor Society and the ACDA Honor Choir. She is a trained vocalist who received a superior for her solo musical performance at the Florida Thespian Competition. Mara’s goal is to become a music educator and vocal performance teacher.
Bradford “Ross” White, a senior at Martin County High School, is a former member of the TCCS Youth Chorus. He plays guitar, piano, and alto and tenor saxophone. He is the student conductor of the marching band and symphonic band. He led those bands to awards at the FFCC State Marching Band Competitions and Grand Champions at the FFCC Oviedo. Ross aspires to a career in political science and law.
Dr. Doug Jewett, TCCS CEO will present the five scholarship recipients with their $1,000 scholarship checks at the TCCS Community Concert on May 18th at Ross Hall at the Pittenger Center in Stuart. Click here to learn more! |
